Poros and the inevitable happened…..

No. I did not fall in. Neither did I break any bones.

However, when coming in “stern to” I usually drop the anchor and Michael reverses in and gets the lines tied on to shore, usually he can jump off, sometimes if we are lucky someone will catch a line and tie us on.

Today he miscalculated his jump, JUST got a toe onto the jetty then did a roll like a circus seal and jumped up.

By that time I had realised the problem, we weren’t tied on and were drifting away from the jetty, and dashed (yes, dashed) from the bow of the boat to behind the wheel.

Mild panic but very proud to say I successfully did my first reverse parking in the Med all by myself with the Captain on shore! No panic and no swearing!
