Zucchini fritters.

Distracting myself from the 40 knots wind outside.

Galley time. Kinda my own recipe:

About a cup of self-raising flour, a pinch of salt .3 grated zucchinis (baby marrows) plus about the same amount of grated cheese. Added a pinch of cayenne pepper as Captain likes things spicy. I added 2 eggs to bind as the eggs were really small. Fry in a non-stick pan, a bit of butter.

Can imagine they would be great with a dollop of sour cream or yoghurt. One way to get the kids to eat some veggies. Now on to the garlic and fresh rosemary wholewheat bread…..

There are a couple of gadgets I have my eye on that a lot of cruisers swear by (I am still in the process of equipping my kitchen.)

I am looking at an air fryer or slow cooker for those passages when you want to put everything in one pot and have a cooked meal when you are finished. I am still trying to figure out the difference between a slow cooker and a crockpot?

I spotted this neat looking griller too, anybody tried it yet?

I think a blender is a necessity and have my eye on this one as a lot of cruisers have recommended it.

Of course I have to run my wish list past Captain Watt first but we have pretty good batteries and solar panels so fingers crossed!

Any other “must haves” for the galley that yu recommend?

Captain Mike and Nikki.
